Who we are...
Over the years, Scott and I have been fortunate to enjoy success in and out of the Rodeo Arena. For me (Nichole), particularly in the last decade or so, my success has come from competing in multiple timed events in the sport of rodeo including barrel racing, breakaway roping and steer undecorating. Through dedication, a lot of hard work and many miles I have become one of Australia’s most decorated and dominant cowgirls. I won my first Australian title in 2005 and have gone on to win a
further 24 Australian championship titles, both individual events and
All Round Cowgirl titles in both major Rodeo Associations (ABCRA and the APRA). I have also won multiple Australian Barrel Horse Association titles. Before my Rodeo career began in 2004, I competed for many years playing competitive polo cross as well as riding and achieving success in hack events at local, state and national level shows.
Scott Fitzpatrick
Scott has been around horses all of his life and was a competitive
campdrafter before concentrating more on rodeo and in particular steer wrestling where he became a two time Australian Steer Wrestling Champion. Concurrently, he has been a successful horse trainer and breaker, and spent time working with renowned trainer Stan Fonsen in America, refining his skills training and educating performance horses.
In addition to our personal rodeo event titles, we have been awarded multiple Horse of the Year honors for horses we have trained and campaigned in barrel racing, steer wrestling, hazing, steer undecorating and breakaway roping.
Together we have formed a great team and run Glenore Performance Horses, which is Home of ‘Acres of Spinafex’ sired by the legendary Acres Destiny out of Banumum Bonita (by Doc’s Spinifex). Glenore Performance Horse stud is situated close to Willow Tree in the Hunter Valley of New South Wales, Australia.
We are committed to breeding superior performance Australian Quarter Horses
with a great temperament, ability, athleticism, speed and cow sense for all
chosen performance events like Barrel Racing, Timed Events and Campdrafting.
As a team we both know what it takes to compete successfully and to be leaders in a sport that we are so dedicated to. Over the past few years we have found ourselves wanting to use our passion, knowledge and experience of the sport to help others by conducting barrel racing, breakaway roping, and steer wrestling clinics throughout Australia. We enjoy assisting people with starting in a new discipline, horsemanship basics, advanced skills and drills right up to fine-tuning horse and rider combinations for specific events.
Our Mission
Focus on providing the necessary one on one time to identify and address the individual needs of each rider and horse, regardless of skill level.
Provide horsemanship fundamentals – Horsemanship is a must, it’s the back
bone to a solid foundation of any horse, no matter their discipline.
Correct body position for both horse and rider by providing specific instruction and exercises, improving rider/horse communication.
Mental Aspects including goal setting, competition mindset and reducing anxiety in
both you and your horse.
We are passionate about helping riders improve their skills and assisting them in reaching their individual goals.
